DEL CITY, Oklahoma -- The Sooner state has churned out some talented high school quarterbacks over the years and the Class of 2011 is no different. Kendall Thompson and Archie Bradley, both OU commits, are among the state’s best in the QB department.
You could file Del City’s Chazten Gonzalez in the underrated department. The two-year starter for the Eagles is back for his senior campaign and that put a smile on the face of Del City head coach Nick Warehime.
“His summer has really been good for us. He is working hard with our wideouts,” Warehime said.
College recruiters can try to call him, but Gonzalez’ future plans are all lined up. One visit to Texas Christian University and the dual-threat quarterback was sold.
Gonzalez verbally committed to TCU in June.
“TCU was just a really good fit for me. I loved the coaching staff,” Gonzalez said.
Gonzales also likes the offensive philosophy in Fort Worth. The Eagles and Horned Frogs are almost identical on offense.
