  • Its just a list guys....lol. There may a decent amount of good players on the "west" side this year, but doesnt mean those teams they are on are going to take gold. I am from Lawton. Macarthur fan first, but I support all the Lawton teams. And trust me, I would love nothing better to see Union or Jenks not win another state title, especially if they would fall to Lawton. Do I think that is going to happen? I would lean towards no. But hey stop complaining...yall win gold up there all the time and have great teams and now you want the whole list to be Union players ??? :) Just messing with you, but you know if the list continued to 40 for instance, Union may have the next 10 players after 30. Hmm...10 players on a top 40 list compared to 3 for Lawton ? Just making a dum point I guess. BUT ANYWAYS.......Someone beat Jenks and Union for a title....Down with the Trojans and Redskins!!!! :)

  • Tazzie - That was a point of discussion when the list was first made and I assure you we had our people on the east side of the state contribute, as well as our friends from Coaches Aid. Several times in the past few years, more of the top players in the state have been on the west side while the top teams have been from the east. Many-a-coach has given the "talent alone doesn't make a great team' speech.

  • By my rough count this list of top high school players has 22 from the West side and only 8 from the East side. Do you really believe the people know who made this list know anything about the East side of the state? I am looking hard for a Union player on this list. I guess they are not any good. I guess Lawton will win the state easily.

  • Thank God there are playoffs in Oklahoma. If not, a West side team would be the state champ every year.

  • Everyone forgets about these amazing athletes in small schools! Northwest Oklahoma has a lot of great athletes! The Buller kid from Timberlake is awesome at football basketball baseball and track but he seems to not get recognized including many other student athletes in the Northwestern parts of Oklahoma like the Foot kid from Kremlin! Dynamite comes in small packages!
