High School Playoffs

Who is the favorite for your class?  Is 6A still a battle between Jenks and Union?  What do you think about that westside?  Is Daniel Farrow enough to put Mustang over the top?  What about the OU commitments playing ball with Southmoore?

How about 5A?  Now that Booker T. Washington is out, who's the favorite?

Let us know what you think?  This is the place to sound off on all things high school football playoff related.

I think Southmoore matches up skill position-wise as well as any team has in several years with the big boys in the East. I just don't think anybody in the West has ever come close to stacking up against them in the trenches. And I'm not sure they can this year either.

Chances to win 6A Gold Ball:

Jenks - 50%

Union - 35%

Southmoore - 10%

Mustang - 5%

6a - definitely Jenks

5a - I think you have got to throw Bixby in there. They have alot of recent playoff experience and probably the **** defense in 5a

4a - Although Star Central beat them Ive still gotta go with Glenpool. Marco Nelson and company will take care of business

3a - Im going with Metro Christian. Strong regular season.

2a - Going with Tahlequah Sequoya. Freshmen QB might not have enough experience to go all the way but who knows.

**** - Stroud

B - I like Canton to take **** all

C - Shatt**** without **** doubt. Most dominant team in Oklahoma history.

6A should be fun...

Jenks will have to deal with one or more of Mustang, Southmoore, Owasso, Bartlesville to get to Championship Game.   Jenks will have to be on their game every time with any of these teams.

Union is beatable....they have to work their way through one or more of Lawton, Broken Arrow, Midwest City, Putnam City North. Any of these teams can win this side of the bracket.

I would like to see Jenks and Southmoore play....and the other side I would like to see **** rematch of Union and Broken Arrow.

Good year for some upsets along the way.

Class 6A will return to Jenks...too much offense-too much line power-staggering defense. Trojans defeat Union in finals.  Southmoore has plenty of "new" talent but will stumble before championship game.  **** West bet...Mustang

Class 5A--**** Reno has the team to make the finals but Bishop Kelley may be the king when all is done.

Class 4A--Glenpool still rates favorite nod but Star Spencer and Sallisaw can challenge

Class 3A--Cascia Hall repeats!

Class 2A--Sequoyah-Tahlequah appears the **** in 2A

Class ****--Talihina Tigers

Class B--Porter Pirates?

Class C--SHATT**** is LOCK to keep the streak alive!!!

2A - Lincoln Christian for sure for the win! They have the hardest hitting deffense in 2A with Cole Johnson, Zack fillingam, & Blake Newman. It will be tough for anyone to score.

Realistically, 6A remains a battle between Jenks and Union again this year.  Jenks is the stronger team and will very likely win it all.  I would be flabbergasted if a westside team won it this year.

OSSAA cannot set the playoffs up right in class 2a they had number 1 2 3 onthe the same side of bracket which is stupid but OSSAA dont set up by rankings they go by class 2a-1 against 2a-2 and on and on thats why we get lopsided state games but I understand an injured player for Kingfisher might of hurt them but maybe they shouldnt been there!!!!!

jwm82,

I see what you are saying I do, but your reasoning regarding the score in the final round of 2A would need to be applied to all classes to make it logical, meaning the Union vs. Jenks game should not have been the final.

I am almost certain most would agree it should have been. Make sense?

I think in 6A its definitely between Jenks and Union until someone else proves **** different.  Every year i hear about **** West side team that can match up to these teams only to be proven wrong year after year.

There is no clear favorite in 5A in my mind.

I think in 4A its between Glenpool, Star Spencer,or  Bishop Mcginness

3A has got to be Cascia Hall
