Tyler Lockett is following a family tradition of sorts, the Booker T. Washington receiver committed to Kansas State after the Wildcats spring game Saturday.

“I felt like I could fit in with the receivers on and off the football field,” Lockett said. “And everyone in Manhattan is friendly. I just like it all around.”

Tyler is the son of Kevin and nephew of Aaron Lockett; both were standouts on the gridiron for Kansas State and both played in the NFL. Even though his two family members had a lot of success for the Wildcats, Tyler is not feeling the squeeze of the family name just yet.

“I don’t feel pressured,” Tyler said. “I haven’t thought about it.”

Tyler had and offer from arch-rival Kansas as well.
