IRVING, Texas –– Tulsa senior Rob Laird was selected as the C-USA Golfer of the Week and named to the Conference USA Men’s Golf All-Academic Team, .

Laird recorded a top-10 finish at the 64th Annual Western Intercollegiate.
 
Laird shot a +1, 211 (71-70-70) at the par-70 Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz, Mexico. The Tulsa native finished the tournament in 10th place out of 79 golfers.
 
Laird possesses a team-best 73.9-stroke average in 30 rounds. He has placed in the top-20 in half  of his 10 tournaments this year.
 
Laird was named to the 2010 Conference USA Men’s Golf All-Academic Team for the second consecutive season.  In his first year of graduate school, Laird has maintained a 3.46 GPA in business administration.
 
He will lead the Golden Hurricane golf team into the Conference USA Championships beginning Sunday, April 25-27.
