  • Brent, 90 points is CRAZY and I hate to see it!!! This is high school!! Not NCAA or the NFL... Other than that though I thought it was about the best I've felt after all the dust settled on a Fiday night. Justice was served in 3 key places that I don't feel need to be detailed.

  • Did Booker T not get the memo? OSSAA's messages on sportsmanship must have gone right past the Hornets. Here's another example why the "mercy rule" in 8-man football should apply to all classes. No team at any level (except maybe the Longhorns) should suffer through a 90-0 humiliation. A game like that is not good for anyone.

  • Support the movement. I’ve come to realize that I can’t stand the automatic touchback rule of any kickoff received in the end zone in high school football. It slows down the game and it stifles talent. I want that rule changed for 2010!! Most every 6A school has a kicker that can hit the end zone 80% of the time. The college game has gone the opposite direction by making kickoffs a HUGE part of the game moving the kicking team back last year thus creating a return on most every kick.

  • atopps you might be right, but when Yukon is picked to finish 3rd in your district I'd say you've got a cake walk. I'll give it to Union though they do play Jenks and BA in the preseason. 2-2 the last 2 years in those games.

atopps38 - September 21, 2009 at 5:16:PM

  • Doesn't matter Union is going to win the whole thing!

LanceKimball - September 21, 2009 at 5:14:PM

  • The most competitive District in 6A: Del City Eagles: 3 and 0. Guess who's back? Warehime is a stud and so are many of his players Lawton Wolverines: 3 and 0. Coach Breeze bringing back the tradition at Lawton. Only knock on the Wolverines is they have played 2 5A schools on the way to 3 and 0. Putnam City North Panthers. 3 and 0. Coach Wilson keeps the sailing pretty smooth over in Panther Land Southmoore SaberCats: 3 and O. Full of talent, controversy, and have a lot to prove Norman North Timberwolves: Manning is as good as any. Technically 2 and 0, but let’s be honest Muskogee did not have a chance 10-0 at the end of 1. I say 3 and 0. Has anyone else seen Daniel Davis play? Goodness!!! Mustang Broncos: 2 and 1. When Daniel Farrow hits the field for the Broncs look out. Farrow behind Erwin I'm guessing that’s good for at least 5 every time. Coach Prestidge is top shelf. Edmond Santa Fe Wolves: Maybe a down year for Vype's preseason #6 but it is still Santa Fe Moore Lions: Good Luck
